Allow us to introduce you to the men of the United States Army Air Force's 79th Fighter Squadron. One of three squadrons in the 20th Fighter Group that were based at a little underdeveloped airfield near King's Cliffe, Northamptonshire, England during World War II, the men of the "Fightin' 79th" came from nearly every walk of life and all four corners of the United States. Together they flew over 300 missions and helped the Allied Forces to regain air superiority over Europe from the Luftwaffe, helping to free the world from the tyranny that was the Third Reich. We invite you to meet them, hear and see their stories and learn more about these courageous men who made history in the skies over Europe...
